Building a preamp with plug ins.

how would you build a preamp/guitar preamp with plug ins. i want to hear your ideas.

In the analog world a pre amp amplifies and matches impedance.
In the digital world you could mess around with gain and saturation (distortion) and maybe some EQ, but it won't be the same.
Elektric and data are not the same.

Distortion/overdrive, compression and EQ. - that would cover pretty much all of it.
