Usb over ethernet for midi

Has anyone used usb to ethernet adapters to transmit midi from a keyboard to a computer? My Yamaha DGX 660 has a usb out but it is located further than 15 feet from my computer. So I am looking at ethernet as a possible way to use the usb out from the piano.

This works for distances up to 190 feet; see linked post below. It uses common Ethernet cable (four twisted pairs) but it's a point-to-point connection that will not work through an Ethernet switch because it's not Ethernet protocol.
