Uad quad or Octo?

I have a uad pcie quad card, I am running out of power to run plugins on my songs, I only have one pcie slot, I do 10-14 tracks and put 2-3 uad plugins on each track. I am almost finished with my plugins and it disables some plugins for not having enough power, Should I get a octo or quad satellite to add to my quad pcie?
Or just replace my quad pcie with an octo pcie?
How much more power do I need?

i have an OCTO in a 12 core Mac.

thats enough for most projects, but basically bigger is better in CPU and UAD sharks.

go for an Octo for sure. also remember the new UAD remodels use far more DSP than the older versions.

some of the newer versions run 70% of a shark for 1 plug, so a 4 core unit might only run 6 or 7 instances of a hi CPU plug.

not enough. which is why i suggest an OCTO.
