Why is buying plugins on a budget a royal PITA

Sorry to rant about this but with special sales and deals like on Black Friday, Cyber Monday etc. especially with flash sales one has to act quickly.

I had to additionally pay like $40 just on taxes that became known only at checkout. I hate that I have to always GUESS how much to budget for buying software. And I dont want to look up prices and recalculate each price.

Each and every price should exactly reflect what to pay upfront IMO.

I know i know, added taxes are a drag as they depend on the country of the buyer. But there must be some better way like selection of country on the product page thus stating the correct total price for that particular buyer.

Ideas?
