BM Multidock 10G: why not working with older Macs?

I dont get this, please assist.

I use a Multidock with a MacMini 2018 via a USB3/USB3 cable with no problems.
Drives mount instantly. Has Mojave on it.

Now I connect it to my older MacBook Pro 2008 which has USB2 ports and also has Mojave OSX on it. I use a USB3/USB2 cable with it. No drive will mount????

Havent tested it yet with Windows 10, but I am baffled I cant get to my drives from any of my older macbooks

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

USB 2 and USB 3 Gen 1 are NOT supported because the read write speed of these technologies is slower that SATA which is 6Gbps.

So let it be known that the Multidock 10G is NOT WORKING WITH anything less so forget USB2 connection with older devices alltogether.
