Need help total mix

I have an RME fire face uff + and when I plug in my my preamp in ADAT I get it as input 15 to 23 but I would want it as input 1 -8
So I have been looking around and try to find a way how to route ADAT so I get it as input 1-8 in Logic Pro x.

Is there anyway I could do this?

Thank you a guy new to total mix.

Hi,

you can't change order of channels, inputs at Core Audio driver always corresponds 1:1 to order of hardware inputs. Eg. you can't move ADAT channels before analog or so.
Settings in TotalMix in general (loopback feature is special case) affects what goes to physical outputs at the interface. There you can create your own submixes from software outputs (from DAW) and physical inputs (for its hardware monitoring). But it won't affect inputs.

The only audio interfaces, I'm aware with such free input channel reordering at driver level, are Thunderborlt versions of UAD Apollos.
Otherwise it's not so common feature for driver, because quite a few DAWs can do that at it audio interface setup.. Like Reaper, Pro Tools, Cubase.. where you can make custom "maps" of input channels and arrange them very flexibly. AFAIK in Logic you can do custom labels for input channels, but that's it.
