Waves G-Master Compressor vs. Brainworx SSL 4000 G

Unsure why I would buy Waves G-Master Bus Compressor, when I have Brainworx SSL Console G (which has a G compressor).

Is the G-Master a special version made specifically for the master bus? Normally, I slap Brainworx Masterdesk on the 2 bus and use its built-in compressor, but still wondering whether G-Master brings something to the table that the compressor in the SSL 4000 G channel strip does not. Thoughts? - mBrane

I have the Brainworx SSL 4000G console and a hardware SSL G master bus compressor. They are different although share a similar compression character. The Waves version is emulating the master bus comp (yes, it’s specifically made for the master bus), not the channel comp which I would not put on the master bus... The G master bus compressor is very clean and can glue a mix together in a musical and pleasant way.

Although I think IK Multimedia for example has a closer emulation to the hardware than Waves.
