Yeah, certainly been here a lot longer than you buddy and it appears a lot wiser.

It's confirmed; your modus operandi has been laid bare.

I'm just glad people are making music. Aren't they?

What is this "music" thing you speak of?

So I've been trying to give Acustica a chance, trialing some of their plugins, but every time I compare their compressors to algorithm based equivalents, the algo comps just sound much snappier and authentic than anything Acustica has to offer.

Isn't Titanium supposed to be multiband CL1B or something? No matter if I use the multiband plugin or the single compressor plugin (it comes with two versions), the action is way too loose on the Acustica compared to Softube's CL1B.

Acustica compressors are an excellent example what you can’t do with that technology.
terrible.

I like some of the AAs compressors.

I use Pink, Cobalt and El Rey a lot on my mixes.

Have you ever used TimP compressors?

I don't know about aliasing and stuff, but his compressors sound pretty darn good, and there's nothing wrong with the action, even compared with algos.

Yeah his compressors are fantastic! have the same action as the algo counterparts with that 'BIG' acustica sound.

I compared for example L-BUS with SSL Native and Waves and really there is no comparison in terms of action and the resulting sound.

No. I might some day. I’m happy with ReaComp for now.

His releases have nothing to do with ReaComp, I can tell you that.

Anyway, he is the one pushing the Nebula technology especially if we are talking about compressors. Although, as I said, I like some Acqua comps.

i really wanted to like nebula and even more acqua but i just couldn't get into them. workflow is too clunky. there's plenty of room for improvement though

There's nothing true in that statement at all in my opinion. I don't understand how you can perceive that.

El Rey set new standards for itb compression and TimP's just released revised Opto 32 is alongside in quality. The weight and depth of those two is far and above any algo plugin's I've ever used.

How can anyone say that the comps are not good when El Ray is such a beast of a comp, closest thing to hardware I've come across. Just try it then come back aand give your honest review of it. It can be clearly heard how good it is.
