Is there any noticable latency on UA Apollos when tracking vocals? Audio Interfaces

Question Is there any noticable latency on UA Apollos when tracking vocals?

I’ve been curious about the latency on the Apollos for a long time, but I can’t find any information about this specifically.

I think all kinds of noticable latency is unbearable when tracking vocals. I’ve tried the Presonus Quantum on lowest buffer setting, and even that is too much. In any case, I always end up tracking with direct monitoring and therefore unprocessed monitoring instead of processed sound with latency.

So how are the Apollos in this regard? Does using the plugins natively (if that’s what you call it when you run them in Console) add any noticeable latency? Does it change when you add more plugins?

I've had an Apollo for years and literally never experienced latency, not even once. Using plugins in the console for both monitoring and recording, no latency. I rarely use my Uad plugins but hold onto my Apollo for the simple fact I've had 0 issues.

Dommedagsprofet,
Check out this series of videos. They explain the process in detail.

No. Apollo’s latency at 96k is about 1.1 ms, and sound travels through air at a rate of about .89 ms per foot, so the latency in Apollo isn’t much different from the latency you naturally have for the sound to travel from your mouth to your ear. You won’t notice any latency.
