Soundradix PI - Helpful for layered bass parts, sampled kick/bass?

PI is certainly one of the more interesting concepts I've seen lately for a plugin in that it dynamically adjusts phase to increase coherency between signals. Not entirely sure how useful that is, though, if it's all sampled or physically modeled sounds.

I'm not currently doing anything (unless it sounds wrong or is somehow obvious) to check the phase of, say, a bass and kick, or of layered bass samples. Is there some simple process I should be doing instead? Is the dynamic part (PI) really adding something useful in such a situation.

Who's using this for dance music with kick/808 coupling, or layered synth basses, etc? Is it helpful? Better than what other alternative methods do increase coherence?
