Is a Rosetta still competitve? Or is it outdated and outperformed by e.g. Apogee Element?

The Rosetta was a classic converter and great sounding box with a bit more color than more open sounding modern Apogee converters. But like computers, converter technology has gotten so much better of the past 10 years. The THD+N and Dynamic Range of the Element Series (and all Apogee converters for that matter) is better than the Rosetta boxes - and you get Thunderbolt, mic preamps, headphone amps etc. Sometimes we forget that interfaces are digital tech and it's always best to stay on top if you can.
