Ensoniq ASR-10 Blown fuses

Getting an aquired Ensoniq ASR-10R back up and running.

As I tested my ASR, it loads the OS and the patches but no sound.

So, I checked and I have the 1st version board that only likes 8 chip SIMMS. Two of the SIMMS that were installed of the 4 were the 2 chip kind you can only use on later boards (the service manual states only 8 chip work on the old boards)

Also, both of the input meters were glowing full green and full red which is a sign of a blown fuse.

So took it apart and I found that two 1A/250 slow blow fuses were indeed blown.

My question, is would the mismatched RAM have caused the fuses to blow?

Or should I look for other issues before I put it back together?

Update, The RAM was indeed the issue.

New matched RAM and a set of fuses and this is back in action
