RME UC vs RME UCX vs ZOOM TAC-8 performance

when it comes to midi sequencing and recording multiple external instruments simultaneously in ableton, which of these three interfaces do you think will give the best performance?

basically, i want everything external recorded as tightly as possible with any audio loops playing back from within ableton.

so firstly, is the ucx faster than the uc?

and as the tac-8 is thunderbolt, does that necessarily make it quicker than the rmes?

cheers, y'all

It's my understanding that RME uses a unified drivers across their USB range of interfaces. The numbers I've seen posted for the UFX seem consistent with my UC.

It doesn't necessarily make it quicker no. When the Tac-2 first came out there were reports of terrible driver performance. Later on when Zoom released their USB 3 units they got reports of latency on par with RME. Supposedly they hired somebody new to write drivers for them. Did they rewrite the drivers for the Tac-2? I have no idea. I haven't seen any reports around here on the Tac-8 at all so I can't help you there.
