lost in MIDI - motu midi express 128

Hey there.

It's been a while since i had to fiddle **** with midi interfaces, but since i came across this rack filled with hardware synths and motu 128 i have to.
So i just plugged or in, installed the driver in my win10 machine aaaand....tadaaa: almost nothing.

I mean Windows thinks its working but i can't route any midi from cubase although i can select port 1-8.

Please help.

Thanx.....

This almost makes me wish for the old crappy logic environment

Make sure you have the current drivers installed:

http://cdn-data.motu.com/downloads/m...pMIDI57483.zip

If the Express 128 shows up in Cubase there's not much more to do with the interface. The Express 128 provides input and output to the computer. It does not have any internal routing capabilities.

I can't help you with the specifics of routing within Cubase but the basic test is can you record MIDI in to a Cubase track? Can you play back MIDI from Cubase through the Express? Once you've verified MIDI input and output typically record-enabling a MIDI track provides the live input to output patch through.
