Need to add Channels to older system.

OK, I know many are going to tell me to upgrade just about everything but I really can't do that so…..

I have an Edirol/Roland UA-1000 connected to a PC via USB2.0

I can't remember if I have 4 or 6GB or RAM but I haven't had any problems running the system in Win XP.

Yes, WIN XP.

I have to do some more checking but I believe one of the mic pre's is out. I may be able to troubleshoot it but I'm wondering if I should just add an ADAT 8 ch expander to it. Something along the lines of an ADA8200 rather than go nuts troubleshooting it if I can't find a schematic.

A lot of the newer gear probably won't be compatible with Win XP and I don't really want to spend the $ to upgrade what has worked for me up to this point.

Suggestions?

Thanks
