so why is Bitspeek RE not available as regular VST/AU?

Its pretty ridiculous to have the improved Bitspeek for Reason not available as vst or au plugin. Why??? I would like to buy the better one !

Maybe try asking the developer why?? Its a Reason specific plugin. Coding that way more than likely means you have access to specific resources available inside Reason which allowed them to optimize things and add features that are available right there for use in Reason. A DAW specific plugin is probably easier to do that with than writing a generic AU/VST which has to work with a variety of different DAW's which all have different features and methods of doing things.

I did just that but no reply from the dev.... yet.

Well, every DAW has roughly the same features so this plug should really not be exclusive to any DAW, let alone Reason IMO.

Dev replied. Apparently the latest 1.5 version has all the improved functionality of the newer RE version, great !!!
