Creating a Impulse?

Hello! You can create an impulse (IR) of a reverb plugin? If so, how? Some specific plugin, as the Waves IR-1 or Q-clone?

I question this because there are some plugins that are not AAX, and I'm curious to create an IR from them.

Thank you.

Yes you can. Typically you'll pass play file through the "sampled" processor or real acoustic space..
For example Waves IR-1 can create own impluses of reverbs, Q-Clone is for capturing of EQs.
Check pages 9-12 at http://www.waves.com/1lib/pdf/plugin...ion-reverb.pdf

However standard impulse response capture is suitable just for some kinds of reverb effects.. It's kind of snapshot, which can't capture modulation.. this is sometimes very distinct part of the reverb sound.

If you have some reverbs, which aren't AAX.. it's better to invest time and money for either its upgrade to newer versions or purchase of suitable alternatives.
Possibly you can try some wrappers and bridging applications like Patchwork, DDMF metaplugin etc.. But this won't work in all cases and additional bridging of 32bit plugs to 64bit DAW is just PITA.
