DMG EQuilibrium EQ Vintage EQ Emulations

What´s the point of circuit models of vintage EQs in the DMG Equilibrium EQ if there is no modelling of non-linear factors such as transformer or tube distortion (and therefore not a proper emulation of a hardware eq)?

With an asymmetric style, there is no cancellation. Some of the types here are symmetric, some are not. Most types are symmetric, but i’ve described each below.
Gain-q interaction is a catch-all phrase used to describe the way in which changing gain can alter the q of the band - what’s written on a silkscreen is only rarely “true" in any sense. Some eqs will affect a broader area as the gain increases, some will affect a narrower area, and the relationship between the two can make working with them a lot of fun. It can get stranger too, with q affecting gain, and even gain affecting frequency, but when we talk about the “interaction" of a band (as opposed to the interaction between the bands of an eq), this is what we mean: The way in which the combination of the settings yield an unexpected, but useful result.

EQuilibrium does the curves only, Dave says just add any saturator of your choice after it if you want to colour. I use Little Radiator for that.
