I'm so confused about maestro in general

I wanna mix with my outboard compressor in reaper but for the life of me I can't seem yo get the settings right, can somebody dumb it down for me so I can figure it out lol

Assuming your compressor is balanced, you'd want to use the +4dBu balanced line output setting, then come back in at +4dBu balanced line input.
