Audient or zoom? In search of lowest latency on MAC

Audient ID22 & Zoom TAC2R

I'm curious about user round trip latency of these two interfaces on a MAC using Logic Pro X. If you own one, could you report what buffer, sample rate, and RTL reported by logic?

See my thread about Zoom TAC-2. It should equal TAC-2R.

Note that LPX reported latency differs from the actual measured latency.

They are incredibly impressive numbers. Curious if Audient can touch it in terms of latency. What stops me from just getting the zoom is...the name & build.

I don't remember the exact numbers but I recall MOTU being very low via TB. Here is a thread started here by a user who has been testing as many interfaces that he can get his hands on and reporting the results in that thread since 2011 that acts as sort of a data base.

Nice resource but not for MAC.

depends if they use the same drivers or not... mac and pc differences are mostly not the issue.. the issue mostly is that the companies 1. lie 2. most use generic drivers. RME for example custom writes theirs which is why they tend to be the standard for good latency along with i think one or 2 other companies. The latency you see in that thread is the same regardless mac / pc. Mostly because companies either write their own drivers or they use off the shelf ones that are rebranded.

That list is old. No TB or newer USB 3. Really curious as to Audient RTL. My buddy and I were testing his Apollo twin TB with logic and it was reporting 10ms at 64 buffer 44.1 sample. Unacceptable to me. The blue boxes get 5.7!! Even the $99 firebox does....
