Electric Bass or Upright ?

Upright ?

Straight Ahead Samples: requires Kontakt 5. Great for jazz. I use it.

Vienna Symphonic Library but requires a USB protecting key and extra software. Great for Jazz, Did'nt use it

Chris Hein Upright>: works with Kontakt 4 and 5 at least. I use it. Very sophisticated, may be too much.

Trillian too, but packaged with e-bass, and I guess needs a USB device since player and samples comme from UVI. Didn't use it.

Electric Bass ?

many more. No names since I've been playing guitar and bass guitar for ages !!

Trilian is from Spectrasonics and has nothing to do with UVI.

I guess I confused Trillian with MOTU.com - Instruments

Sorry for that

But it could be that I read somewhere that the Trillian player, not its UI, is licenced from UVI

Any u-he synth or Monark for the acustic basses I use Trilian. Cytomic the drop is great for adding more bass to them.

Again, all the products from Spectrasonics have nothing to do with UVI.

For a free, fingered electric bass, the 4Front Bass at yohng.com is surprisingly good. It's pretty balanced tone & volume-wise between strings, which is nice, since there are no adjustable parameters.
