just installed new waves plug and cubase keeps asking for waves folder

I've just bought waves NX and of course I had to install the new waves central thing.

So, everything seems OK, however every time I open Cubase/Nuendo it's asking for the waves folder. Now I've been to every waves folder I can find but NONE are accepted. I've tried;

the x86 program files
x64 program files

vst plugins...etc etc

the common files folders

the user/local etc or Roaming folders

nothing seems to work.

anyone?

If VST2.x, did you point to the correct folder in Plugin Manager?

Looks like I might have to un install ALL my waves plugins and stat again from scratch.

A complete PIA just to buy 1 new plugin on a DAW that worked perfectly before.

I had a similar issue. After hearing back from Waves support, I selected the C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V9 folder and that worked. Had to see the individual plugin files in the browser, then hit the Select button. Hope this helps!

Eddie

thanks, that didn't work for me.

Today I just manually removed every bit of waves from my machine and then reinstalled from the waves central and that did it.

obviously you need to UNINSTALL everything waves before you do the new waves central thing and then you're OK.

I had the same problem, followed the same procedure as explained by Teddy and it worked: the subtelty is that you have to open the C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V9 folder and only then click Select.
