ESATA or USB3 for Sample Playback Raid

Hey all, I have a OWC mercury that has a multi interface it has USB3/FW800/ESATA options. On the mac, I'm currently using a Sonnet ESATA pci card to give myself 2 external eSata ports and am using it that way. I'm moving the Raid to PC and want to know if y'all think that using USB3 will cause a performance hit or whether or not USB3 is faster than Esata for Sample purposes.

Thanks
F

The answer to all questions about which is faster

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_device_bit_rates

In there you see that there are 2 variants of eSATA is 3Gb/s or 6Gb/s,
as well as a bunch of USB variants.

USB2 is 0.5 Gb/s, USB3 is 5Gb/s, USB3.1 is 10Gb/s

Personnally I would definitely go for USB3 as this is a lot more guaranteed to work with many environments.

But of course the winner is .. Thunderbolt.
