Trying to find a piece of software

I can't remember where I saw it, but a while back I remember watching footage from an industry show where a software developer was showing a piece of synthesis that allowed one sample to synthesise the other. To sort of vocode it.

I think they were using it to make a voice sound low and evil. Saying it would have enormous possibilites in sound design.. well I need something like it.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Know if it ever came available?

Thanks for that. It's not that. It allowed the users to choose the other sound it was synthesising. So as it heard a sound it brought in the second sound. You could mix between them and create a third completely new thing...

Doing my head in trying to think who was behind it. It was in a piece about the amazing things a certain company were up to. Of course, I can't remember the company or product. Aargh.

Maybe izotope iris 2? Kind of what you're describing.
