Input bus select problem

In Pro Tools HD (11 and 12), sometimes I can't assign the bus I want to an aux stereo input or an audio stereo track input... I select bus 13-14 (coming from Vienna Ensemble Pro) and PT chooses 9-10... I select 11-12 and it goes to 7-8... any idea ? Tried trashing preferences, no luck.
I made a little video to show what happens :

Are you using an external monitor and/or using mirroring? I have had this problem before mirroring my computer to an external monitor.

Strange. Do any other elements on the window act weird? Do all other mouse clicks land and activate the correct spots?

I've seen this too - only on specific sessions though. Not narrowed it down (it happens on PT10 too).

Have you done the usual preferences trash etc?
