Digital Performer people...a little help please!!

I'm doing a session at a studio tomorrow that uses Digital Performer. After tracking, how do I consolidate the tracks from zero so that I can import to Protools???
Thanks!!

I think this explains what you're looking for:

Short answer:

1. Add digital silence to the beginning of every track that doesn't already start at zero. A miniscule amount will do.

2. Merge all soundbites, making sure to add crossfades at edits if needed.

3. Export via soundbites window.

Yeah, UnicorNation is the real source for DP user info. Check it.

Depending on which version PT you use, you may not need step 3. I've managed to import the merged soundfiles (.mg) straight to ProTools. Pretty cool.

oh btw, is there a function in the soundbites window that allows me to export all the tracks or do I have to do it one track at a time?

Just choose all soundbites in the soundbite window and export as much as you want

save your project as an OMF file maybe? Leaves the waves intact and remembers the project settings (tracks, what wave where on the trackbar, pan, volume)
