DP w/Pro Tools control surfaces? (from experience)

Hi folks,
I'd like to get information from any of y'all who have actually USED Pro Tools control surfaces with DP, examples being the S3, S6, C24 larger units, not the smaller units like the Avids. I understand EUCON and MCU, etc, and have used the Mackies in the past, so I'm not really looking for comparisions with other manufacturers, just would like to hear +/-'s from any who may have had experience with PT/DP usage.

Thanks!
darrell

I have interesting stories about Artist mix, but you said you don’t want those.

how is that icon support in DP? Not as full featured as PT I'd bet, but good enough to ride automation and transport control? How is the banking done? please tell me it's not just HUI glammed up..

My Artist Mix just randomly stops working, but it does that in Cubase and PT as well. I find myself grabbing an onscreen fader a lot and wishing I hadn't wasted money on this thing.
