UAD plugs working in DP with new update

UAD just released a new update that makes their plugs compatible with High Sierra. I haven’t been able to open my UAD plugs in DP since I first bought them, right at the time of the High Sierra OS update.

I’m happy to report they work perfectly now in DP with the new UAD update. Plus they throw in a free Marshal Classic plug.

Weird....I was just about to create a new post about this issue. DP9 will not load my plugin as of today 3-18-18. I tried updating everything from DP to Apple. I see DP has a section of plugins that failed but another section that passed. Anything you guys did different other than just update the UA plugs. Not sure if I'm missing out on a procedure. Any help would be great.

Hi everyone. This is a known issue with the combination of the latest macOS, DP9 and UAD plugins and is currently being investigated by our developers. I've included some instructions below that should offer a workaround while a solution is created.

- Run the UAD 9.4 installer.

- Open the Applications folder and drag the Digital Performer application
to the trash. If you have multiple versions of DP, be sure to drag all versions
to the trash.

- Hold the Option Key while clicking on the Finder's "GO" drop-down
menu, select Library, then open the Preferences folder. Find the
com.motu.MotuAudioSystem folder and drag it to the trash. Empty the
trash.

- Download the DP 9.51 installer available at motu.com/downloads and
run the installer.

- Find the VST folder (System HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/) and rename
the folder to anything other than “VST” (for example, “VST_temp”).

Your Audio Unit UAD plug-ins will now be available in Digital Performer.
Feel free to let me know if I can answer any questions.
