According to the 2017 video, it shares some of the same hardware, but doesn't seem to be an interchangeable firmware exactly....

Stretching my memory here but I recall around ~2016 there was talk of this as an alternate firmware for SMR. After some prototyping they decided against an alternate firmware in favor of whatever the differences are (but I believe you are also correct about the hardware platforms)

In either case, I'm very interested in the SWN. This has a lot of possibilities to it.
