Is the Basimilus Iteritas Alter a fully digital module or is it a hybrid? Noise Engineering describes it as a "digital drum synthesizer with its roots in the analog world" so I'm curious to know the breakdown of it in more detail.

I'm guessing all digital.
It sounds great and does a lot of interesting things.

It is completely digital.

Part of it is a morphable waveform which goes into a wavefolder; maybe that's what they mean with "roots in the analog world".

Otherwise there are lots of Infos about it and how it works on their homepage.

There's really no go to, depends on what sound you're after and many times, you don't really need a filter.

That said, what sold me on the BIA in the first place was seeing a live show with the main bass voice being BIA going through an MMF.
