Never stop dreaming.
What I realize is that you pick your modules wisely.
That's what I love about MG, it forces you to think about what's really needed and what not.

Thanks, man.

It helps to be getting into eurorack so late in the game, and being a geek over research, so I get to learn from everyone else's trials and mistakes and stand on everyone's knowledgeable shoulders.

When i finish there may as well be a GS plaque in it. These modules suggested by X, these by Y...

The end result would be something like this:

The Steampunk case:

Argh ...
After reading a lot about the Falistri, the Rampage seems to be a lot less desirable ...

We're in a similar camp and share the same "fear" =)

My rig so far.

Natural Gate and Instruo arbhar are on pre-order.

It's hard to decide which modulation sources I could add when I have 16 channels of anything I want or need out of VCV Rack and sent through the Expert Sleepers.

Sequencing also done completely in VCV via Expert Sleepers.

VCV is the center of my studio. It's sequencing + modulating Dominion 1, GRP A2, , Analog Four, Yamaha MODX and the Eurorack. It feels and behaves like a big synth this way.

That's an excellent recommendation, thank you. I don't know why, but I had never really looked closely at the Metropolis, but they "had me" with the backstory and the first minute of demo on that first video... i had never seen that one before. I can definitely see a Metropolis fitting into the performance controller setup I'm putting together. Yeah, thanks. Another cool Sequencer.

and you can slow it down and make use of the rests/silent parts a lot more than he does to make really weird stuff. its actually a very allround usable seq, not just a techno seq. youi just have to program it. which is not very hard, nor slow.

The "cons" I've heard about the Falistri is that the knobs get sort of buried in the middle when you have a bunch patched in, and that gets in the way.

With Ornament & Crime imminent it's time to shuffle the pack.
It looks okay to me but advice/ideas would be gratefully accepted.

- EOR/EOF per function generator.
- Modifying the shape of the function doesn't affect frequency.
- (apparently) very good V/Oct tracking, which makes a nice complex oscillator.
- Separate ring modulator, slew and flip-flops.

But, a said above, the "wiggling factor" is not the best due to the placement of those knobs ... On this point the Rampage wins.

I have not made my mind up yet ... Plus I have two new toys to play with (Ladik C-012 and U-040) meanwhile
