Description

Condenser large diaphragm microphone, with the M7 gold sputtered PVC capsule. Multiple polar patterns: omni, cardiod, figure of eight. The microphone has a transformer (unlike the later UMT70). It takes 48V phantom power and were produced in the nineties, after the fall of the Berlin Wall in the Gefell factory. The microphones were finished in silver or black paint.

Warm Audio WA-73 + WA-273EQ !!

Want to contribute with a test and not only with text. Done with: Mic- Microtech Gefell UM70S. No highpass. Pre- WA73 50db gain and output at max. Filter set to 80 Hz A/D- Apollo 8 at 48KHz recorded to Logic TONE knob is out. No EQ or compression. The reverb is UAD AKG BX20. Guitar and vocal are recorded on one track....

Microphones With Noticeable Proximity & Silky Neumann Type Sound

...that they never commanded. I say this as the former owner of a couple UM70s, who at one point was misguided into the fanciful BS. And I have used just about every damn Gefell model several times over the years as well. Though that is beside the point.
