How does a Flea 47 sound compared to a new Telefunken 47?

Well I am at Armando's studio Cosmos in Mexico and about to try his best 48, 67, vintage 87, 251 and Gefell UM900. I will report back. This should answer a lot of questions. p.s. This experience of being out here is beyond words.

What is your request from " Neumann "?

...have the technology to do superb nickel diaphragms and could use the same small valve that they use for the UM 900 - but is there the demand for this ?

What's your favorite looking mic?

Ditto. The Microtech Gefell UM 900 has been my favorite looking mic since it came out many years ago.
