i would always choose the Sterling Modular stuff (because i chose it for my own studio! so i'm biased)

it has a lower profile than the bottom one which is better acoustically.

you just can't go wrong with Sterling stuff

I'd pick the top one.

The bottom one has sharp corners on the inset area in the middle.

I can imagine swinging around in a swivel chair, or trying to slide in there and missing, and banging your knee so hard on one of those corners that you friggin' pass out.

Josh Bonati at Bonati Mastering has the 3-bay Sterling. Check his website for pictures of it loaded up and in situ...

The Keoda stuff looks nice - I like the look of their silent rack boxes as well.

I'm a Sterling user, and have been pleased with my Plan A. Delivery times may be an issue though, depending on how soon you need it - check with the distributor.

Yeah looks nice. Is it possible to choose wood stain?

The sterling looks better, and seems to have better overall features/functionality. Gets my vote.

Sterling Modular all the way! This is an investment that will most likely last your entire career. It is worth spending the extra $700 imho. I'm extremely happy with my custom Sterling Modular console desk.

One of the most important aspects of the Sterling desks is that the sides and lower panels are all cloth, the back and lip of the desk are the only acoustically meaningful parts, and they are very low-profile. The second desk appears very solid, and is going to have a much greater effect on the acoustics of your studio.
