Stereo recording software for Mac

Hi folks.

I'm looking for some software to record my desk mix output to 16 and 24 bit stereo interleaved files. Earlier versions of Waveburner used to do it but no more. I would like to use my Rosetta 200 as A/D. The software does not need to have any processing capabilites as I will import the recorded file to Waveburner as soon as it's been recorded.

Thanks.

I guess you need to buy a DAW bro.)
Take some cheap stuff like GarageBand.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. I just want a stereo recorder software. My DAW is Pro Tools HD which I route back into an Audient so all I need is a way to get the mix direct to cd.

I'm sure Garageband will do it but I'd like something a little more "pro"!

I'm downloading Audacity at the moment. I guess that'll do the job.

I'm in the same boat, although I don't even have a daw. My masterlink went down..guess I'll have to get a MacBook..and some good convertors..

Try Reaper for size. You can record, trim and burn from it.

Garage Band may not be used by many pros but sound quality-wise it is the same as Logic.

Welcome to BIAS!

Been using Peak on my Macs for years and years....
I am using an older version, so I can't speak for the new stuff but I couldn't be happier with it.

Here for the gear

Garageband, Audacity

Garageband doesnt seem to allow to choose higher sample rates,
I did some successful test-recording with Audacity (free software)/OSX with an Apogee Duet I, planning to do recordings this way next months..
