Now, we may be biased.... but if you are looking for Mastering Tuition or a good online mastering course, we have completed this one in accordance with Producertech.com ... A lot more affordable than some of the courses out there including Berklee... Nearly 7 hours of tuition / know-how and starting to get some great reviews:

Audio Mastering Course, Learn Audio Mastering, Mastering Tutorial, Online Mastering Course

Perhaps it will also suit the gearslutz users....

I don't know. Will the piece of paper really help you?

When I was a teenager I went to work for this guy, best internship I ever had.

i would ask for the teachers' mastering credits!

and if they have any actual factual commercial release mastering experience.

or if they just attended an isotope seminar at a trade show, and now think they've got it :~o>

the moment they mention multi-band compression, bail out and get a refund, which might be in lesson one

woof!

I would first invest in high quality monitors. Then I would invest in attending a few mastering sessions with top people. Only then would be the time to invest in a class.

What...? Oh, no... Really?
No mastering at all will be better than bad mastering, especially when talking mastering own stuff. Its something I experience over and over again, very often the mix just sounds better than the master (just that bit quieter). You can not alter what you are not able hear. And if you can hear it, why not alter it in the mixing stage? HP are not more accurate than speakers, thats a lie.

As Bob sais; the listening environment (speaker + room) is the key. Second is dedication. Everything else will then follow naturally over time.
