CD Text checking app OSX?

Any app for OSX where I can simply double check a production master to make sure the proper CD Text information was embedded? Thank you in advance.

I used the Terminal command and it worked like a charm. Great reassurance before handing the master over. Thanks!

Toast will spit it out pretty instantly.
Put the disc in, select recorder then disc info.

If it misses a title or a code, just hit it again and it will come up.

It's about the only thing that toast does kinda properly!

Toast won't burn a disc with ISRC's (even if you use bin/cue) and it will not let you save the disc info that comes up when you do the above!

iirc you can select & copy the text from the Disc Info window and paste it into a text doc.

Toast does a nice job of burning data backups to CD/DVD/BD.

Also does well at adding enhanced content for blue book discs.

The "Compare" utility comes in handy every now and then.

and a few other things, we're big on the Toast.

They shoulda kept Jam as a separate entity tho' ...it was too good to absorb imo.

been using it from the beginning, it was a milestone at the time... 1996?

Seems as though the new (paid) versions keep coming faster than they can fix things.

Guess it's up to v.10.04 now?

Funny market, software, always accelerating releases, we get to be the guinea pigs.

Cheers -JT

Yep!
Fair enough!

It is good for burning data on a mac, along with the other pointers you mentioned.

I guess I'm not a big fan of toast these days but it was way ahead of it's time in 96!

I prefer to do that kinda stuff on plextools, which will copy a disc with all metadata in tact.

Yes I also liked Jam a lot but didn´t use it since I have PMCD. So Toast is only used here for checking the CD Text on a CD burned with PMCD - and for burning data discs, but no longer for audio.

Will try the terminal next.
