the idea being that with +4db at these frequencies you get a subtle but noticable effect in the audible range with analogue shelving eqs being the way they are.

Sounds like Alan's still using the old A&M EQs - that highest frequency is really 18k, but labelled that high as a joke...

But 7-8dB GR on the L2? Seriously? Yikes!
