I agree. If Massenburg added MS to the bands I would switch back because it is so fast in use and sounds great. And anything that improves our flow, improves our work.

I use FabFilter EQ before my hardware chain too but in M/S mode to tidy up the low end and sometimes the top if needed.

I've tried many EQs and still prefer the Massenburg over all other digital ones.
But man, that GUI is horribly small and it has way less features then the awesome Pro Q3 ... nevertheless still the best sounding or "not sounding" eq to my ears ...

If someone finds a better one please let me know.

I haven’t tried the E27 but my go to EQ to clean things up before running the audio through outboard gear is Neon HR. For me it’s been great for precise cuts that also sound transparent and I sometimes like to add gentle high shelf boosts with it too.

Have you tried the Magpha EQ, from Balance Mastering? It's excellent in doing the "not sounding/invisible" thing. A very nice subdued UI too.

EDIT: Actually, I'm not entirely sure in what plugin formats this one is available. In a worst case scenario you could use a plugin bridge of some sort (DDMF or BlueCatAudio.. or similar).

I find PSP-E27 on my last project did wonders, small boosts and cuts, mid and side functionality with a 28kHz band...just amazing
