vintage NEUMANN SE 2 Equalizer / vinyl cutting?

i got a vintage NEUMANN SE 2 Equalizer (thank god with the correct original plugs/adaptors for it), which had been used with a pro-vinyl cutting machine.

It reads:
40hz -20 -17 -14 db

and

12khz +8,5 +13,5 (positive values clockwise and counter clockwise)

does one of you have information about how good it is and what would be the value?

thank you!

(ps. the black bar on the front pic happened when resizing the picture, it is not really on the unit itself)

It doesn't look stereo at all.
One In and one Out Xformer.

What kind of tube it is ?

that's what i thought too, but why is it called SE2 ? Stereo Equalizer?
And why was it used with a stereo vinyl cutting machine?

The tube is an ECC 82 (Valvo)

seems mono.

could it be a riaa eq with a couple of variants depending if the program is bass heavy/weak..?

in a 6db filter every decade results in 20db loss. so if there is -20db at 40hz, the filter prob starts at 400hz.

the 17db and 14db positions might have lower start points for the filter. 350hz and 300hz perhaps.

SE is the prefix used for the RIAA EQ in later Neumann cutting racks. I think this is from a VG1 cutting rack. It's mono. I'm not familiar with the VG1 and don't have drawings. I think there is at least one person who is a GS member who runs a VG1.
