HOFA DDP: UPC Code Entry tacking on extra digit

Hey guys,
Using the newest version of CD Burn.DDP.Master here

Trying to enter a 12 digit UPC code in the 'UPC/EAN Slot, and the program automatically tacks an extra 0 in front of the 12 digit code I've written.

So: 045778053421 (the code that the label has provided) becomes
0045778053421

Is this normal? is that just how it deals with the difference between 12 digit UPC and 13 digit EAN?

Any user or software Dev feedback welcome. Thx !

I liked Sonoris DDP creator for that, it automatically generate the 13rd digit.
I don't know much about your example tho :(

I would email HOFA who are very responsive and have good support but I am pretty sure this is normal.

WaveLab does something similar. I remember a note in WaveLab about US only using 12 digits and you should add a 0 at the start of 12 digit codes.

WaveLab doesn't do it for me but I am just in the habit of adding that 0 first so all 13 digits are filled in.

In the Hofa user manual for ddp player maker it states that a leading 0 will be placed automatically in front of 12 digit upc's.

Yep, that's my understanding of it. Assuming the check digit was already part of the UPC.
