Hi guys! Does anyone here have experience with these two Stereo Imager plugins:
A.O.M. Stereo Imager D
IZotope Ozone 7
What do you like more?
A.O.M. Stereo Imager is curious - it is not standard stereo imager - it makes pinpong style of stereo panning, personally I would affraid to use it on master, but it might be perfect tool for mixing.
Ozone has standard Mid/Side imager with 4 frequency ranges, this is safer for mastering of course. But it dont do any magic - so no needed if mix is good as mentioned by teebaum.
I can suggest Bedini B.A.S.E. analog hardware for stereo magic (binaural type od 3D sound), we have heavily modified version here, when I turn it off clients asked what happened, it is mono now ? :-D (while it is still stereo)
A.O.M. Stereo Imager D is doing the same thing as Waves Center - they're the only 2 plugins I know that work on a 'phantom' center concept rather than standard mid-side. I've used it on masters a few times (the Waves one - not A.O.M.). Once you're used to having it in your toolbox you won't want to be without it.
