Around £3000 mark

Hello, I recently posted an ad asking for advice on speakers for mastering for around £1000 for a beginner, which brought in a sea of wonderful debating and advice. I thank all of those people.

Now my situation has changed and i have come into some good fortune which means I now have £3000 to spend on just the monitors.

I've been looking at second hand models such as the PMC IB1 and have found a couple on ebay within my budget. I've also been looking at the Sonics Allegra and have found a pair in my price range. I was wondering if anyone can give some feedback on either?

My room size is 5 meters wide by 8 meters and I am currently treating the room.

Also is there anything I should keep an ear/eye out for with regards to possible second hand faults, wear and tear?

Thank you in advance.

If you can find some B&W mastering grade studio monitors (800 series might be in your range now and are still a staple in the mastering studios, or even the older 600 or 603, i forget what they are)
