Question Focusrite Converters of Saffire PRO 40 with good outboard for 2 BUSS processing

The question is, does it make sense? I only did mastering ITB so far, but I would love to get some nice stereo eq for polishing and mojo. Besides my Audient Desktop Interface I also have an older Saffire PRO 40. Unfortunately my budget is tiny at the moment, but the ambition for moving on a professional road gets bigger... I really dig the elysia xfilter which seems in reach, but will the converters screw it up? Or would it make more sense to save for something better on the conversion side first?

What would you do?

I answer this to myself, they do NOT screw up! Send a few mixes through my channel strip and had a blast with the results! No audible deterioration by two additional conversions, again I am really surprised by the quality of the pro 40, pity they don´t build it anymore.
