Do you use Ozone or your own plugin chain to Master?

I'm curious if most of you use Ozone 8/7/6, something similar, or your own chain of plugins to Master.

Please vote in the Poll.

Thanks,
Jerry

Combination. Until now Ozone was always the last plugin, doing the limiting. Depending on the sound, I used some of the other Ozone modules. Now with Fabfilter Pro-L2 I need to reevaluate this.

Hi teebaum

Do you mean only beginners (no Professionals) use Ozone or other plugins to Master?

Hi stardustmedia (cool name, btw)

What do you like better about the Fabfilter Pro-L2 than Ozone?

Thanks for your input!

Haven't had the time to test and compare it against the Ozone limiter.

I use Ozone 8 advance Dynamic EQ and Maximizer a lot when mastering, great sounding tools

I used to work with Ozone a lot, even though I felt it was not sounding as good as my own custom chains.

It was seeming that others preferred the Ozone masters over my own chains, but I think that was because they were simply louder (I was definitely able to use the tools in Ozone to get louder - it is almost too easy).

I did my own analysis, and now ... I no longer use Ozone for mastering (I will use on busses). I prefer the restrictions of simpler levelers, a choice of EQ flavor, and a simpler limiter. All the great tools in Ozone, are more than I need. I really just want to get the levels up, and not have plethora of options to second guess my own mixing decisions.

Mastering for someone else is probably a different story however.
