Here for the gear
oceans and tide

Here's an old lyric that got an honourable mention in American Songwriter magazine.

Thought i'd share and see what people thought. I'm going to record a version of it soon.

Honorable Mention
“Oceans & Tides”
Blind Commissioner
Rotherham, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom

V1
The poetry of reason is a treasure to behold
An unknown soldiers grave and hearts paved with gold
Are malleable people a shape of things to come
don’t ever forget where it is you’re from

Chorus
Men for all seasons
oceans and tides
we all have to choose
which wave to ride

V2
An unanswered question can play on the mind
but search deep within the answer you may find
There’s a desolate angel that’s lost in space
she’s feeling your pain it’s etched on the lines of her face

Chorus

V3
When somewhere else is just a heartbeat away
I ask my demons to leave but they want to stay
is that all there is to what there’s not
I’d like to take a ride to the place that time forgot

chorus
