Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
Ok slutz, we've all had a love affair with the Lucas CS-1. Now that the magic has had some time to settle down, and just when you thought it was safe to put your wallet away, they announce the Lucas CS-4! It is not a "clone" of a U47, but instead an original design...
...want the added 'reach' of an LDC to get the combining effect you're looking for. I find that the Lucas CS-1 is amazing for its ability to render a 'deep stage' - but that particular mic may be out of reach in more ways than one (expensive and not current production).
From my mic locker I would select the following non-clone/tribute mics to the ranks of modern classics: Lucas CS1 Brauner VM1-KHE Brauner VMA Microtech Gefell UM900 Microtech Gefell M295 DPA 4041T Josephson e22s I'm sure there are quite a few others, but since I don't own them, I won't presume to comment.
