Gear Head
Have:
--Boss DS-1 (want to get it modded, it's a little noisey, any recommendations of who to have mod it?)
--Ibanez TS9 (a new one, but I like it, I'm not picky)
--EBS Octobass (dig it, for both bass and little, trebley guitar parts)
--EH Holy Grail
--Boss Giga Delay
--Yamaha Magicstomp (I bought it when it got down to $89. I think it's pretty good, especially the reverbs, phase, flange stuff. I've been intrigued by some of the fuzz and distortion effects on it)
--Big Muff Pi (russian)

Want:
--Aforementioned mod to the DS-1
--Sansamp Bass Driver DI
--Boss Loop Station (or equivalent)
--Help in figuring out how to make the whole thing quieter
--Pedals that work well on both Bass and Guitar (the TS9 sounds nice on the bass, as does the octobass obviously, the pi is not so nice sounding in my opinion)

Don't be embarrassed. It stomps on other vibe/trem units. Hook it up to a pair of amps in stereo and get out your x-tra large Depends.

I think they've really hit some homers with their Tonecore series, and trust me, I'm the last person in the world who would sing the praises of Line 6.

I think all PODs and their owners should be set on fire. But, I'm a 100% tube amp - tone snob. The best part of the PODs is the FX section, and now they've basically broken that out into a modular series of pedals that don't suck your tone when bypassed.

BOSS can't seem to recapture their glory days of the late 80s when everyone and their moms had a Metal Zone cranked through a ****ty solid state combo and played "Eruption" with one hand while making the "radical" sign with the other.

Spealing of BOSS that OC1 absolutely destroys. As in, Mothra vs Godzirra. I wonder if I could ask zvex to make a modern version of it that could also do octave up. Its a simple filter design; I believe Alembic makes some sort of killer filter that could be used for this, but I believe its rackmounted. I'm looking for a pedal version of that, Zach, if you're listening. Also, how about a distortion pedal thats not fuzz? Hmmmm?

Speaking of the 80s I just heard "Gimme All Your Lovin'" on the radio. The guitar playing and tone on that song just floors me. Those scratch/slides are too cool for school.

Billy Gibbons for president.

OK.
I liked this thread, so I'll resurrect it.
Overdrive--Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and a Digitech Bad Monkey. Thanks to the person (I'm not sure if it was on this forum) that recommended the Bad Monkey. That is a great value. Sounds better than the TS9 DX that I returned. $40.
Delay--Diamond Memory Lane and EH Memory Man Deluxe
Fuzz--Diamond Fireburst
Chorus--Boss CE2
MXR EQ10
Carl Martin Compressor
I still haven't found a decent reverb, so I generally use the spring in my amp or a reverb processor.

Ones that I've tried and returned/sold--Tubescreamer 9DX, Boss DS-2, EH Small Clone, EH Holier Grail, Line 6 (Tone Cores--Compressor, Chorus and Verbzilla--all sold or returned), and an Analogman Clone (Sun Face/Bichorus, I think).
I'm pretty pleased with the pedals that I have now. I'd look for another chorus but have been unhappy with most tried. For now, I've been reamping from my Kurzweil KSP8, which has been working well. Don't really need any more effects except for a good Wah.
Oh yeah, I also have a POD XT Pro when I want to go ampless. That has definitely been worth the $350 I spent on it.

I have Effector 13 Soda Meiser (really extreme distortion), Boss MT2+Rocktron Zombie (this is awesome combo for brutal distortion with magic character), T-Rex Dr. Swamp and CompNova, Death By Audio Total Sonic Annihilation (supercool!!! Check Death By Audio webpage!!!! I love it!)...

Do you think that there are any GREAT reverb pedal? Why not using some rack/standalone effects instead pedal?

Exactly. The Verbzilla and Holier Grail were too noisy. I'd use rack effects for this purpose or the spring within the amp. I kind of look at chorus the same way, although I'd still consider an upgrade to my CE-2. Analogman bichorus was nice but not worth the price IMO. Small Clone was noisy (but sounded great). Line 6 Space Chorus--didn't like. (Those Line 6 pedals introduce a bit of noise that I really don't like--even when the effect is not engaged.) At least my Boss CE-2 doesn't do that. Needless to say, in picking my pedals I've made sure that I don't get more than minimal introduction of noise/hiss even on bright settings on my amp.

EB Volume pedal - as an expression pedal for volume only for G-Force

There really isn't anything I want at the moment.

My pedalboard is in a constant state of change, depending on the project. So it's mostly a combination of these pedals here:

- Analog Man BiCompressor (Live it's mainly used for turning down the gain of my Gibson EH-150 Lapsteel, that baby is loud as hell and about 2 as loud as the Fender Japan Tele I use with the same amp).

Great for clean sounds, often I'm going direct by setting up the BiComp in front of the Little Labs IBP or the DI of a preamp. It depends on the part and guitar. For my Danelectro 12-string, it's often the BiComp into the IBP's DI and then into a 1176 for additional compression.
For a clean, pedal steelish, lapsteel part I'm recording right now it's the BiComp into the UA 6176's DI though.
I wonder how the BiComp compares to the Keeley Compressor that seems to be treasured by some.

- Analogman modded Boss DS-1: To be honest, I'm not fully impressed by it. Good 'clean' distortion but somehow lacking in character and a bit weak with Single Coils.
I think I'll look for a Fulltone FullDrive2 again, I had one but sold it again. Does that sound familiar, clueless tonehunters we are...... The T.Rex Moller might be good too, never tried it though.

- Danelectro Fab-Tone: I just love this pedal, it does one thing and does it better than any other, mostly way more expensive, fuzz I've tried. Fuzz Factory, YardBox, Fulltone SoulBender, Rat, all were sold again.

- EH Deluxe Memory Man reissue: Great! The reason my Line6 DL4 will be e-bay bound soon. There's just no contest, the DL4 'Memory Man' model is nice enough but totally lacking the warmth and 'presence without gettiing in the way' mojo of the Memory Man.

- I still use the DL4 live if I need anything Edge/Gilmouresque with tap-tempo delays.
I plan to get a T.Rex Replica though eventually. It's just so damn expensive!

-Danelectro Dan-Echo: As much as I like the Memory Man, if it comes to straight Twang/Rockabilly, this is my fave. Like the FabTon, a no-brainer considering how little these pedals cost.

- Vox reissue V847 Wah: Noisy as hell but still my fave.

- Sovtek Big Muff: I always think it's a strange sound while playing but more often than not it works great recording-wise.

- EH Pulsar: I pretty much gave up on Tremolo Pedals, the tremolo in my Fender Vibrolux Custom is SO good that it makes any pedal sound wimpy and one-dimensional. The Pulsar though is not a straight imitation of a Fender Tremolo and more leaning towards psychedelic sounds. It lacks the dimension of a great tube tremolo but I find it usefull for recording anyway.

-Ernie Ball Volume Pedal: Mine is a bit worn out but it's still my fave volume pedal. Like any volume pedal it changes the sound somewhat but it doesn't kill it like other volume pedals I've tried over the years.
