Hey Steve,

You remembered the truck's nick name. Very cool.

Sounds like an interesting proposal, but that will only happen in my nightmares.

Here's my room.

1) I am a gear addict
2) It's taking a lot longer to set up and wire than I thought
3) working title is either 'Box of Knobs', or 'sh*t strewn everywhere'
4) If you're bored, the full room is http://www.synthservices.com/basement

And those pix were after a 30 synth selloff.

Actually I'm trying to convert a personal, for my use only hobby into something a little more open to allow recording of other folks. I'll probably never have a drum room or anything like that so the market will be more limited to the trance/dance/electronic crowd, but that's OK.

Yep, it's a 70. I picked it up from a tech in Mass. and he'd already done the recap/rechip to it. I have been going over all the wiring under the motherboard and all the pb wiring to clean up broken leads, etc. Since it's been rechipped, I've been testing the PS and I'll have to replace it since the new ICs draw more current than the PS was spec'd for. It's a very nice sounding board and I'll be even happier when I get the additional patchbays and fx wired up.

Thanks. 15+ years of being a packrat on display. When the house was built I had originally specified 80 amps for the room, just in case. The electrician wired it for 60 because he said he thought 80 was a mistake..... So, I may be calling him back to put in the extra 20 if needed. I'll post a warning so you can buy Allegheny Power stocks before I flip the switch.

I love sound. These machines make me smile when I play them and each one has it's own quirks and charms. I was disappointed that I couldn't hang onto everything, but for the room to be useable I needed to open up some space.

Oh, man - another Texan? My first trip there was with a drummer to buy a brand new Ludwig Vistalite kit. A 4 hour drive, but well worth it...

510 south garland road will be forever etched in my memory...used to beg my parents and older brother to drop me off there. you never knew who was gonna drop in...gear stacked to the ceiling...people jamming...too much fun.

Thats the same console I have. Those patchbays are a bitch to rewire. I still havent gotten around to doing mine yet, instead I just bought a couple outboard ones and dont have anything hooked into the console except mic ins.

I need to get around to doing it, or better yet, pay someone else to do it.
