Hi-Hat Eq plugin

I've been trying to pull some "glass" out of a hihat recording I have, so I'm wondering what plugins in au or vst are particularly good for dealing with the extremem high end. So far the waves linear phase eq is ok, and I actually like the stock masterworks eq in performer. Any recommendations?

Waves linear and MDW are the best for high end.

Valvetone by tritone digital is also great for that. I always use that on hats. UA 1073 is killing too.

you might have some luck with the spitfish de-esser in some cases - it's free and worth a try if you have shrill-sounding hats and regular EQ just isn't quite getting it.

Interesting. Thanks for all the suggestions. I suppose now's the time to check out all this UAD business.

Be careful when doctoring the high-end with the UAD Pultec. Weird things happening there.

nope, pro tools isn't my platform of choice but I do own and use it occasionally, I have downloaded this plugin though, it definitely LOOKS nice, ha. Apparently it sounds good too.
